The 2nd GHRSST Short Course on SST took place at the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, on 31st May 2017 to 2nd June 2017. You can download the course flyer here.

The GHRSST short course on SST aims to:

  • Gain knowledge about GHRSST and what GHRSST provides
  • Gain knowledge of IR radiative transfer, cloud masking and SST retrieval
  • Apply the gained knowledge with real practical examples

The course includes formal lectures as well as hands-on computing exercises using GHRSST data.

Chris Merchant (University of Reading, UK)
Peter Minnett (University of Miami, USA)
Gary Corlett (University of Leicester, UK)
Mingqiang Fang (Ocean University of China, China)

Post graduate, PhD students, post doctoral research scientists and users from China interested in Ocean Remote Sensing are invited to apply to the 3 day course.
