The International SST Fiducial Reference Measurement Radiometer Network (ISFRN) is organising the workshop: In-situ Sea Surface Temperature to support Climate Data Records.

The 6th edition of this workshop aims to promote the achievements and developments in validating satellite Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data using in-situ instruments.

It is organised by Ships4SST, the Shipborne-radiometer network, which sets out to develop and promote an international network of ocean and remote sensing scientists  who share a particular interest in promoting and improving the use of shipborne infrared radiometers for measuring skin SST at the surface of the ocean, comparable to measurements made by satellite infrared radiometers. You can read more about the scope of the ISFRN activity, its instruments and services, or join their network, through their website: https://ships4sst.org/

Date and time:

Thursday 19 March 2026, 1pm-5pm and Friday 20 March 2026, 9am-12pm (UK time).

The workshop will take place online.
