Release via PO.DAAC and AODN of GHRSST GDS2 format Bureau of Meteorology SST analyses [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

12 November 2019 Published by

As a contribution to the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS), the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) GAMSSA 28 km and RAMSSA 9 km Daily SST Analyses are now available in the GHRSST Data Specification version 2.0 (GDS2.0) Level 4 (L4) format. Both datasets are reformatted versions of existing GAMSSA 28 km and RAMSSA 9 km GDS1.6 datasets (DOI: https://doi.org/10.5067/GHRAM-4FA01 and https://doi.org/10.5067/GHGAM-4FA01), produced daily on an operational basis at BoM.  Additional metadata and sea-ice concentrations (obtained from NOAA/NCEP) have been added to the GDS2 L4 files.

The datasets are described and discoverable via PO.DAAC pages (https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/RAMSSA_09km-ABOM-L4-AUS-v01 and https://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset/GAMSSA_28km-ABOM-L4-GLOB-v01), as well as the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN: https://portal.aodn.org.au/).
