‘Metrology for the Sea’ IEEE International Workshop

19 November 2020 Published by

4-6 October 2021, Reggio Calabria, Italy

Since the first edition, MetroSea represents an international meeting place in the world of research in the field of metrology for marine environment involving national and international institutions and academia in a discussion on the state-of-the-art concerning issues that require a joint approach by experts of measurement instrumentation and industrial testing, typically professional engineers, and experts in innovation metrology, typically academics.

That is why MetroSea will serve as a forum for presenting recent advances in the field of measurement and instrumentation to be applied for the increasing of our knowledge for protecting and preserving the Sea.

TOPICS:

  • Electronic instrumentation for the sea
  • Automatic test equipment for the sea
  • Sensors and sensor sensing systems for sea applications
  • Wireless sensor networks for marine applications
  • Monitoring systems for the sea
  • Measures for Oceanography
  • Metrology for navigation and precise positioning
  • Measurements for submarine obstacle detection
  • Underwater vehicle for exploration
  • Pollution detection for reclamation
  • Submarine infrastructure maintenance and reliability
  • Signal and image processing
  • Metrology and quality assurance for submarine soldering
  • Weather forecasting and nowcasting for maritime navigation
  • Measures for Marine Biology, Geology & Geomorfology

PAPER SUBMISSION: Authors are invited to submit an original extended abstract (4 pages), reporting original research of a theoretical or applied nature using the MetroSea Open Conference System. The paper should explain the significance of the contribution and contain a list of key references. All paper must be written in English according to the guidelines provided on the MetroSea 2021 website: http://www.metrosea.org

All contributions will be peer reviewed on the basis of a full length manuscript and acceptance will be based on quality, originality and relevance. Accepted papers will be published in the Workshop Proceedings and extended versions of presented papers are eligible forpost publication.

SPECIAL SESSIONS: Special sessions will be organized on specific topics, see online at http://www.metrosea.org/special-session
