Cancellation of GXXI Boulder and creation of GXXI-online

17 March 2020 Published by

Dear GHRSST Science Team and participants of GHRSST XXI-Boulder,

We are very sorry to inform you that given the current global situation with the Covid-19 virus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the GHRSST XXI meeting in Boulder in June 2020.

We are appreciative to Chelle (and NASA / MISST) and her colleagues for all the arrangements made in Boulder so far, and it is a shame we will not be able to meet in person.

However, we have decided to proceed with the GHRSST meeting in June but by ONLINE methods.

We are happy to have the help of the EUMETSAT training team. In preparation for this, in the meantime it would be helpful if you can create an account at http://training.eumetsat.int.

We remind you that the GHRSST XXII meeting is kindly being hosted by ISRO in Ahmedabad during 15-19 March 2021, which will be our next opportunity to meet in person.

More information can be found on the GHRSST website at https://www.ghrsst.org/meetings/21st-ghrsst-international-science-team-meeting-g-xxi/ and this will be updated over the coming weeks.

The GHRSST Advisory Council Meeting will take place by Webex at 08:00 CEST on Friday 5th June 2020.

The SST-VC will meet at 22:00 – 00:00 CEST on Tuesday 2nd June 2020.

Warmest regards, and we hope you all are safe and well,

Anne and Karen
