GHRSST XI Science Team Meeting, Lima Peru 21-25th June 2010

Following a consultative period and working with the local organising committee, we are pleased to announce that the XI GHRSST Science Team meeting will be held in Lima, Peru 21-25th June 2010. Thank you to Sara Purca and the Instituto del Mar del Peru IMARPE for their support and help in hosting and organsing the meeting.

Meeting overview

The meeting this year will focus on the completion and acceptance of the GHRSST Data Processing specification v2.0 and will involve working groups on tuesday and Wednesday. Science presntations will be given on Thursday. The draft agenda for the meeting

22/06: Tuesday: GDS2.0 Working Groups (Review and update of GDS 2.0 content)

23/06: Wednesday: GDS2.0 Working Groups (Review and update of GDS 2.0 content)

24/06: Thursday: GHRSST Developments, applications and services (Science presentations)

PM: GHRSST Advisory Council (AC) Meeting

25/06: Friday: Final presentation of GDS2.0 and review of meeting

Please note that GHRSST TAG and WG sessions will be arranged within the framework of GDS 2.0 reviews, issues and writing tasks.

Registration and Abstracts

Please scroll down and register for the meeting at the bottom of this page. The on-line registrationpages allow you to submit your abstract for the meeting. As time will be limited, some proposals may be asked to provide a poster presentation.

There will be a nominal registration fee charged for the GHRSST Science Team Meeting to cover administration and meeting support costs. Attendees are asked to pay either by cash (75 US dollars) or credit card (100 US dollars due to credit card handling fees) during the icebreaker the first evening. Receipts for the registration fee will be given upon payment. Thank you for your understanding.

Hotel Reservations

The main venue for the meeting will be the Plaza del Bosque hotel http://www.plazadelbosque.com.Please make reservations, at the same time as registering, directlywith the hotel by using the email below with the proper subject: reservas@plazadelbosque.com with subject: GHRSST XI. thecosts for each room ar: single room 150 USD and double room 160 USD. There are 30 confirmed rooms, but this can be extended later.
